People Services Coordinator

As a year-round People Services Coordinator you will play an integral role in ensuring all Galileo employees are well-taken care of through smooth onboarding and offboarding, a top-notch benefits program, and timely and accurate pay.

What’s the team like?

The People Operations team is not your average Human Resources department. You’ll be on a team that approaches everything — from the way we attract and select candidates to the quality of service and the benefits offered to our employees — in a way that reflects the pride we take in hiring and retaining exceptional staff teams. 

What’s the job?

We’re looking for a People Services Coordinator to deliver internal support for over 2,000 summer staff, as well as our year-round and seasonal staff teams. This operational superstar will be a deft executor and detail-oriented leader who thrives on executing administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

• You’ll make sure our employees are paid accurately and on time. You’ll execute weekly tasks to process payroll for HQ staff and ~2,000 summer staff. You’ll build on existing team experience to identify and implement year-over-year improvements to our processes and resources.

• You’ll support employee benefits administration, including enrollments, reporting, and payroll deductions for all HQ employees.

• You’ll skillfully deliver employee program-related communication through our ticketing system (up to 1,000 tickets per month during the summer), maintaining a high level of approachability, warmth, accountability, demonstration of service, and team leadership. 

• You’ll meticulously maintain current employee records in our payroll software, applicant tracking and onboarding platform, and internal tracking docs, taking a variety of actions at all employee transition points including hire, rehire, and role changes.

What are we looking for?

• College graduate, or equivalent experience

• 1-2 years’ experience in Human Resources, benefits, onboarding or payroll administration, preferred, but not required

• Experience in project management, managing work plans and interfacing with multiple teams

• Demonstrated experience with Excel and Google docs, and ability to quickly pick up new software and technology

• Warm, welcoming, and professional attitude and disposition, with excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Schedule

• Virtual, part-time training: February 16th - 26th 

• Full-time schedule begins March 8th, with 45-55 hours/week during summer 

Compensation & Benefits 

• $22.00/hour
