Recruiting Manager, Employee Brand

US-CA-Oakland | US-Remote

Galileo is looking for a stellar project manager and creative communicator who has a knack for recruiting staff to join our highly collaborative Recruitment team.

We value divergent thinkers who bring various experiences and viewpoints to the table at Galileo. We strongly encourage members of underrepresented groups and people of diverse backgrounds to apply.

What’s the job, really?

We’re looking for a candidate-focused strong communicator whose essential responsibilities will focus on promoting our employee value proposition to a targeted, yet wide reach of candidates to fill our hiring needs across summer and headquarters staff each year.

  • You’ll refine and build our recruitment narrative. You’ll be the primary liaison with the marketing team to ensure that all our recruitment messaging and materials across our website, social media, job boards (like Indeed and LinkedIn), emails, newsletters and more lead to greater brand recognition and supports the successful hiring of 2,000-3,000 summer staff, 90 camp directors and several HQ hires annually.

  • You’ll drive our referrals and incentives program, to ensure that our referral strategy and perks of working on staff rise to the top as key drivers to helping us find and retain talent.

  • You’ll serve as a champion of the candidate experience, and work with members of the People Operations and Field Operations team to ensure a thoughtful and effective candidate journey from job description to application and beyond.

  • You’ll help ensure Galileo is seen as a premier employer, partnering with the marketing team on initiatives like company awards, PR opportunities, and professional development incentives.
  • You’ll be a key thought partner to others on the Recruitment team to support (and potentially lead) expanded initiatives in areas like digital ambassadors and street teams, strengthening our alumni network, exploring new social media platforms and new territory recruitment strategy.

Who are you?

  • You are inspired by Galileo’s mission and purpose. Innovation education, project-based learning, and working in a professional, welcoming, deeply camp-inspired environment should sound like things you’re ready to explore or sign up for.
  • You’re a passionate visual and content-driven storyteller. You have an undeniable ability to bring the best story to the surface through written and visual communication. You skillfully craft inspiring, engaging messaging that generates interest across a wide range of potential candidates.
  • You can juggle - and juggle well. You can manage a variety of projects simultaneously. Changing deadlines? Multiple stakeholders? Easy breezy. You manage your time well and keep your projects and calendar in tip-top shape.
  • You understand people and their motivations, and bring your ability to speak to those through your unwavering vigilance and support of the candidate journey. From the initial website visit to their job acceptance, you can easily see things from a candidate’s perspective and bring that to bear in your communication to them and with others.
