Financial Analyst



Galileo is hiring an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for a diverse range of projects including financial modeling, supporting the annual budget process, and utilizing business intelligence tools to develop dashboards and other data sets to help management with strategic decisions. What’s the team like?


Our Finance team oversees both accounting and forecasting, planning & analysis functions to ensure successful camp seasons for the next generation of campers. As we grow, our small but mighty finance team is committed to building outstanding relationships cross-functionally, through providing support on modeling new program offerings to resource planning for expansion.


Position Description

What’s the job, really?

You’ll serve as a key member of the Finance team, developing financial models that help with decision making, identifying and tracking KPIs, and helping lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes at a company-wide level.


  • You’ll work with business intelligence (BI)  tools to develop and monitor metrics and performance indicators through the creation of KPI dashboards that highlight trends and analyze causes of unexpected variances. 


  • You’ll assist in preparing monthly/quarterly financial decks to be presented to management and investors.


  • You’ll partner with other departmental leaders to provide monthly and quarterly reports on actual spend vs. budget variances, and be the go-to point of contact for questions that might arise.

What are we looking for?


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, investment bank or other related fields. 


  • Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling


  • Great analytical and problem solving skills


  • Understanding of Sage Intacct, Salesforce and BI tools (Tableau experience a plus) preferred
