Recruiting Analyst



Galileo is looking for a skilled Recruiting Analyst to provide actionable insights based on data to support our talent acquisition strategies from sourcing to offers to onboarding. In this role, you’ll be the team expert in the data and reporting capabilities of our talent acquisition systems and vendors. You’ll build and maintain the recruiting team reporting infrastructure, including metrics dashboards and tools for a range of stakeholders.

Position Description

The People Operations team is not your average Human Resources department. What’s the job, really?

We’re looking for a Recruiting Analyst with a passion for providing data-driven insights in support of a team. Essential duties include:


  • You’ll work with recruiting and hiring team leaders to determine appropriate metrics and goals for our major hiring categories: corporate, summer program directors, and summer camp staff.


  • You’ll create and maintain systems and tools to measure and report out progress to goals. You’ll be a power-user within our applicant tracking system, iCIMS, with a strong command of how data flows through the system and into/from integrated tools and solutions.


  • You’ll use data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in recruiting and hiring processes and report them out. In partnership with recruiting and hiring team leaders you’ll design and implement tests to problem solve them, helping to ensure process optimization.


  • You’ll support headcount estimation for summer camp staff hiring, and partner cross-departmentally with the field operations team to ensure alignment with the recruiting team. Your insights will inform summer camp staff headcount fulfillment expectations.


  • You’ll manage the recruiting analytics reporting and dashboard roadmap with focus on data integrity, automation, and supporting stakeholder learning and ability to self-serve.


What are we looking for?


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience


  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting, recruiting operations, or data analysis


  • Excel/Google Sheets expertise, including basic and more complex functions


  • Experience with applicant tracking systems; iCIMS experience preferred


  • Google Data Studio or similar data analysis and visualization tools experience preferred


  • Familiarity with measuring diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging recruitment strategies a plus


  • Skill at and experience with soliciting and implementing feedback to improve performance

Work Location


Bay Area strongly preferred. Southern California second most preferred. Please note that, due to COVID-19, Galileo currently has a hybrid office and work from home policy. More information to be provided during the interview. If remote, would require travel to the SF Bay Area at least quarterly. Remote location possible in following states: California, Washington, Colorado, Illinois, Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland.
